The firefly is a flagship premium boutique smart electric hatchback introduced under NIO’s high-end compact car sub-brand. Engineered for dense urban mobility in Europe and global markets, it combines a 4.7-meter tight turning radius, 50:50 weight distribution, 420 km CLTC pure electric range, and access to NIO’s fifth-generation Battery Swap network.
Designed by Kris Tomasson, NIO’s Vice President of Design, the firefly showcases a distinctive design featuring triple-ring LED light clusters, contrast black roof treatments, and a compact 4,003 mm length with a 2,615 mm wheelbase. Its ultra-compact 4.7 m turning radius and 21°/26° approach/departure angles optimize urban parking and narrow lane maneuvering. Storage flexibility includes a 92 L wet/dry front trunk (frunk) and up to 1,253 L of rear cargo space.

Battery & Charging: Equipped with a 42.1 kWh LFP battery pack delivering 420 km CLTC range (330 km WLTP). Supports 2.4C fast charging (100 kW DC) and integrates seamlessly into NIO’s 5th-generation battery swapping infrastructure.

Horizon Journey 5 ADAS: Powered by a Horizon Journey 5 SoC (128 TOPS), enabling highway Pilot-on-NAV (NOA) and fully automated valet parking.
